Webinar: IR35 in the Private Sector
The changes to "off working payroll rules" (known as "IR35") are coming into effect from 6 April 2021. There is still time to prepare...but not much! Keep reading to access a copy of our webinar that we held to help our clients prepare for this upcoming change.
This time last year we were already seeing the different approaches that were being taken and the effect that had on the contractor market. But we could also see a general lack of preparation made by the supply chain in readiness for this change.

Our webinar was led by Paul Mason of Markel Tax, who has been providing tax and insurance advice to parties in the freelancer market since 2001. Paul regularly speaks on IR35 and works closely with the Markel Tax contract review team and investigations specialists to ensure that all players in the recruitment chain get the best advice, protection and defence in respect of IR35.
What will you learn?
Now that we have the final legislation and HMRC have issued guidance on what they expect of IR35 decision-makers and fee payers, this webinar looks at the effects of the legislation on all the parties in the labour supply chain.
This session will look to answer the queries most often raised about:
- the responsibilities (and potential liabilities) of the end client decision-maker
- the responsibilities (and potential liabilities) of the agency fee payer
- the small companies exemption
- outsourcing
- essentially anyone impacted by the change!
If you will be affected by the upcoming changes to IR35 this webinar is not to be missed - the impact and ramifications for all parties involved will be severe if you are not prepared.
